for directing attacks, i saw one of my teammates do that, he left before teaching me how to do it

press and hold CTRL and use left click to draw on minimap.

Quick question: Why is this feature enabled? People abuse it too much. The other day I couldn't see anything on the mini-map apart from colored lines on it.

Cause it can be very useful in the right hands, to co-ordinate a team fight. But I would like to see an option for it to be disabled it needed, as people tend to abuse it also.

its enabled because its the best way how to describe where from and where to drive the action even if u r using some voice communication like ts,vt or skype

First ask them to stop. If they still keep doing this, report them. I'd say intentional ability abuse is the best fit. Be sure to add comments.
